EChemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, and Environmental Processes are strategic areas of contemporary technology, essential for sustainable development, energy efficiency, the design of materials with advanced properties, and environmental protection. In this context, chemical and materials engineering play a strategic role in both the development and optimization of processes used in basic industries, such as refining, oil and gas, steelmaking, and non-ferrous metals, as well as in high-tech industries, including the synthesis of advanced catalysts, the manufacture of electronic components, technical ceramics, and superalloys. Therefore, the integration of these areas in an interdisciplinary postgraduate program enhances common competencies, training professionals with a systemic vision and critical thinking skills, capable of contributing effectively to technological, economic, and socio-environmental advancement.
